Tender description

The purpose of this tender process is to to ensure the effective management of waste from all Trinity House sites (excluding London). The key waste generating areas are the depots in Harwich and Swansea, Trinity House Vessels, and the base at St. Just. Waste is also generated for a number of other locations, including lighthouse cottages and remote project activities. The requirements are divided into Lots (and sub-Lots). Lot 1: General Mixed Office Waste General Mixed Office Waste Sub-Lot 1A – Harwich Sub-Lot 1B – Swansea Sub-Lot 1C – St. Just Further details listed within the Statement of Requirement. Lot 2: General Yard Waste Larger scaled general waste - General Yard Waste Sub-Lot 2A – Harwich – General Sub-Lot 2B – Swansea – General Sub-Lot 2C – Swansea – Wood Sub-Lot 2D – Swansea – Green Further details listed within the Statement of Requirement. Lot 3: Grit-Blasting Waste Waste from the grit blasting processes in Harwich and Swansea. Sub-Lot 3A – Harwich Sub-Lot 3B – Swansea Further details listed within the Statement of Requirement. Lot 4: On-board Vessel Waste Onboard waste - Provision for the tip and return of any skip during crew changes in Harwich or Swansea or other sites used for crew-change around England or Wales. Lot 5: Hazardous Waste (Wet) Disposal of wet hazardous materials. This can include paint, low volume oils, oil contaminated materials, grease, aerosols and other freeflowing.
