Managed Service Provider for Temporary Agency Workers

Tender description

The Council is conducting the procurement using a further competition exercise through ESPO Framework Agreement reference 653F_23 for the provision of Managed Services for Temporary Agency Resources. Westmorland and Furness Council (the Council) is seeking a supplier to provide a managed service for the provision of temporary agency workers to fulfil our current requirements within the footprint of Westmorland and Furness Council. The Council currently has a managed service provision where the incumbent provider is a Master Vendor, has their own Social Worker candidates and manages a supply chain of suppliers to ensure the full provision of temporary agency workers is provided across a variety of roles within the Council. This model has worked successfully for us as an authority and has met our requirements, which include providing a high calibre of social worker agency candidates with short turnaround timescales. The current spend is approximately £5 million per annum. Details of current expenditure are given in good faith and are indicative only and the Council does not guarantee any spend against this contract. Through the Council’s Approach, we want to achieve greater social value in public sector procurements, exploring more ways of retaining wealth within our community. We will seek to utilise our assets as a catalyst for economic activity, generating opportunities for residents, businesses, social enterprises and the community and voluntary sector alike.
