Tender description
Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) looked to procure skills bootcamps delivery for 2023/24 (funded via DfE's National Skills Fund) with the option to extend on a 1+1 basis subject to GMCA receiving continued funding. The key objectives of skills bootcamps in GM are to: 1. Address the needs of employers to fill skills shortage vacancies requiring specialist/technical skills and improve business productivity. 2. Address the needs of adults to retrain and upskill whatever their starting point. Providing clear line of sight to a new role / opportunity / contract. 3. Diversifying the talent pipeline by targeting groups facing disadvantage in the labour market and underrepresented in key sectors. For the purpose of this procurement exercise, activity is split into four separate lots: Lot 1: Skills Bootcamps: Digital, Technology, & Creative Sectors • Overall value: £2,000,000 • (Minimum contract value of £250,000 to a maximum value of £1,000,000) Lot 2: Skills Bootcamps: Co Lot 1: Lot 1: Skills Bootcamps: Digital, Technology, & Creative Sectors This lot was used for the delivery of Skills Bootcamps in the Digital, Technology, & Creative sectors. This opportunity was commissioned as a further competition/call off from the education, work and skills flexible procurement system. Lot 2: Lot 2: Construction & Green Skills This lot was used for the delivery of Skills Bootcamps in the Construction and Green Skills sectors. This opportunity was commissioned as a further competition/call off from the education, work and skills flexible procurement system. Lot 3: Lot 3: Manufacturing & Engineering This lot was used for the delivery of Skills Bootcamps in the Manufacturing and Engineering sectors. This opportunity was commissioned as a further competition/call off from the education, work and skills flexible procurement system. Lot 4: Lot 4: Wider Sectors This lot was used for the delivery of Skills Bootcamps in the following sectors: • Logistics • Education, Health, & Social Care • Hospitality, Leisure, & Tourism This opportunity was commissioned as a further competition/call off from the education, work and skills flexible procurement system.
