Coventry University is inviting tenders from firms of auditors to provide us with a comprehensive external audit service for a period of five years with the option for an additional two year extension. Contract extension is subject to satisfactory contract performance reviews. The firm appointed must satisfy the criteria for eligibility as external auditors of Higher Education Institutions as set out in the OfS accounts direction, including being Listed on the register of Statutory Auditors and in respect of any audits of registered companies to which they may be appointed, must satisfy the relevant requirements of the Companies Act 2006.Coventry University regards the following as key requirements in meeting its needs:• maintaining a high degree of continuity of staff involved from the appointed firm as very desirable, especially senior levels i.e. the partner and manager, but also with the audit staff;• thorough knowledge of UK Higher Education sector finance practice Lot 1: Coventry University is inviting tenders from firms of auditors to provide us with a comprehensive external audit service for a period of five years with the option for an additional two year extension.
