TECHNICAL (STRUCTURAL & CIVIL) AND COST ADVISOR CONSULTANT CONTRACT Background to RFI Aberdeen City Council is currently considering options regarding the future contractual arrangements for the provision of technical advisory (with structural and civil design) including cost advice and associated project management. The Council is willing to explore new innovative forms of partnering with consultants, including any new formats of engaging consortia or project teams, in order to meet the Council’s needs. The Council is looking for a team to provide a comprehensive technical, economic and life cycle advice service. This will include a thorough understanding of best practice, materials, procurement, project management techniques, and looking to the future needs of the organisation and stakeholders. We recognise that it may be unlikely that a single firm can provide all services in-house, such as a materials lab testing facility, specialist knowledge, and all related services, and we are interested in engaging with the market to assess any proposed new methods of delivering this requirement, prior to a full procurement exercise during 2023. The Council invites any potential suppliers to provide information, to assist the Council in both understanding the offerings from the current market, and to assist the optimal development of its related competitive procurement programme.
