SPS-02118 - Data Re-cabling at SPS College

Tender description

The SPS is seeking to award a Contract for data re-cabling works at the SPS College. The SPS college has continued to expand over the years. This expansion has led to growth in the technological and digital services area which has seen the increase in data cabling at different periods over the years. Due to this the data cabling within the main college building is of different specification (Cat5e and Cat6) and terminates in different areas, rooms and cabinets. This sporadic layout has reached their limitations within each cabinet and for the future provision of network services this needs to be addressed. A new room has been identified to house 2 new (space permitting) cabinets/racks and will require the re-cabling of the whole main building using cat6 to this new room (if within the maximum allowed cable distance) and terminate on new panels along with providing 8 core MultiMode fibre to an existing Cabinet using new LC Panels. This tender shall also include the removal and decommissioning of the old cables currently in use.
