The Scope of the Contract will comprise of the six monthly routine servicing of electrically operated Automatic Barriers together with urgent repair works required during the period of the contract. 1. Initial Routine Servicing Survey. 2. Inspection of Automatic Barrier Installations. 3. Urgent Repair Works - PRIORITY 1. 4. Remedial Works. 5. Out of Hours Emergency Call Out This work shall be carried out to the requirements and recommendations set out in current applicable British Standards, European Standards and all statutory requirements, for a period of three years with the option of two further years. Details of the various Dundee City Council properties included within this contract are contained in Appendix 1 - Property Details. Tenderers are recommended to visit the various sites prior to submitting their quote, in order to fully acquaint themselves with the various properties to be tested, and to determine the type and condition of the Automatic Barriers to be serviced, the supply and conditions affecting labour and materials and the execution of the Contract generally. Ascertain the nature of the site, access thereto and all local conditions and restrictions likely to affect the execution of the works. Arrangements for a visit should be made with the Building Coordinator or other contact as stated in Appendix 1 Objective The Inspection & Testing of Automatic Barriers contract comprises the Inspection, Testing, Certification, written reporting and subsequent servicing and maintenance of the Automatic Barriers and associated equipment at various Dundee City Council properties, along with minor and urgent repair works which may have not been foreseen. A six-monthly routine servicing of electrically operated Automatic Barriers will be required, along with any urgent repair works ordered during the period of the contract.
