Tender description
Cefas requires regional support in Africa for a number of activities, to support delivery of its international programmes. Cefas and the Animal Plant Health Agency (APHA) lead and deliver a variety of international projects across the African region, supporting countries to tackle marine pollution, support sustainable seafood practices and establish designated, well-managed and enforced MPAs. These programmes include the Ocean Country Partnership Programme (OCPP) and the One Food Programme. As part of this work, Cefas hold workshops, conferences, and other events of this nature across the African region, to engage with in-country partners and stakeholders. Cefas requires the successful Tenderer to provide regional support for a number of activities related to these events. NOTE: Cefas cannot guarantee the level of work/ value of this Contract as this is dependent on requirements as and when they arise. At present, Cefas require support in the following countries where there are active projects: • Ghana • Zambia • Uganda • Senegal • South Africa • Mozambique The successful Tenderer is required to provide the following: 1 Procurement of suitable accommodation for training, workshop and conference participants (specifications to be provided by the project teams). 2 Provide participants daily subsistence payments using mobile money or similar (not cash). 3 Procurement of suitable venue hire for training, workshops, conferences etc. (specifications to be provided by the project teams). 4 Hire of audio-visual equipment and other event equipment (e.g., chairs, flipcharts etc.) as needed. 5 Procurement of catering for events, considering any dietary requirements. 6 Procurement of in-country travel arrangements for participants to the events, and support logistics of these arrangements as required. 7 Procurement of in-country advertising support for events, as needed. 8 Optional: procurement of translation and interpretation services, as needed. 9 Optional: support with/procurement of regional travel for participants, where required. 10 Optional: procurement of laboratory consumables and equipment from in-country and regional suppliers. 11 Optional: support with transportation logistics and import processes for equipment Cefas are sending into country. 12 Optional: support with visa application processes for event participants.
