Young Carers & Support for Young People who use Substances

We would like to invite you to attend the second market engagement event for the Young Carers and young people who use substances. When: Wednesday 6th September 2023, 11:00 to 12:30. Where: MS Teams The second session will build on the discussions from the first market event which covered the procurement process and the commissioning intentions for both services. We will again allow time for discussion and questions during the second session. We are seeking to procure two services: 1. Specialist service for young people under 18 who use substances 2. An integrated support service for young carers who care for people with a range of needs including those who require care relating to their substance use The vision for the Young Person’s Specialist Substance Misuse Treatment and Young Carers Services are that they will be aligned to the developing Family Hubs vision and principles, ensuring that children and young people receive the right support as early as possible. The formal business case to proceed with procurement was granted approval from Plymouth City Councils Cabinet on Monday 12 June 2023 and has been published here.
