Tender description
Newport City Council (hereinafter referred to as the Council) invites tenders for numeracy courses for adults aged 19+ under the UK wide Multiply programme, in accordance with the specification and the terms and conditions within. The tender has been split in to 7 lots, each of which align with one of the Multiply Indicators. Suppliers can be bid for one, several or all Lots. A maximum of 2 suppliers will be appointed to each of the Lots. Further information on the Multiply Programme in Wales can be found at UK Shared Prosperity Fund: prospectus - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk) Lot 1: W44 Indicator Courses designed to increase confidence with numbers for those needing the first steps towards formal qualifications. Additional information: The estimated value detailed is apportioned as follows: 2023/24 GBP 300,000.00 2024/25 GBP 300,000.00 Lot 2: W45 Indicator Courses for parents wanting to increase their numeracy skills in order to help their children, and help with their own progression. Additional information: The estimated value will be apportioned as follows: 2023/24 GBP 185,000.00 2024/25 GBP 185,000.00 Lot 3: W47 Indicator Courses aimed at people who can’t apply for certain jobs because of lack of numeracy skills and/or to encourage people to upskill in order to access a certain job/career. Additional information: The estimated value will be apportioned as follows: 2023/24 GBP 55,000.00 2024/25 GBP 55,000.00 Lot 4: W50 Indicator New intensive and flexible courses targeted at people without Level 2 maths in Wales, leading to an equivalent qualification. Additional information: The estimated value will be apportioned as follows: 2023/24 GBP 55,000.00 2024/25 GBP 55,000.00 Lot 5: W51 Indicator Courses designed to help people use numeracy to manage their money. Additional information: The estimated value will be apportioned as follows: 2023/24 GBP 140,000.00 2024.25 GBP 140,000.00 Lot 6: W52 Indicator Courses aimed at over 19s that are leaving, or have just left, the care system. Additional information: The estimated value will be apportioned as follows: 2023/24 GBP 25,000.00 2024/25 GBP 25,000.00 Lot 7: W53c Indicator Activities, courses or provision developed in partnership with community organisations and other partners aimed at engaging the hardest to reach learners – for example, those not in the labour market or other groups identified locally as in need. Additional information: The estimated value will be apportioned as follows: 2023/24 GBP 140,000.00 2024/25 GBP 140,000.00
