Multiply (England) Capability Support Programme

Tender description

DfE is looking to commission a capability and capacity building programme to support Multiply delivery in England, working with Multiply providers and wider local actors involved in delivery. Local areas work with a total of approximately 400 providers to deliver Multiply but, given the broad range of Multiply activity, we would expect the programme to work with smaller subsets of these providers (and other local actors) as appropriate according to the specific focus of the support. The broad objectives of this offer are: • Directly support Multiply local delivery and improve its effectiveness, through building capability and capacity within both local areas themselves and Multiply delivery partners. The external offer will role model effective practice within the programme, including learner recruitment and progression strategies, and create networking opportunities between delivery partners. • Share promising approaches to learner support, teaching and content including approaches that may not currently be widely used with adult learners, particularly strategies that result in progression to other learning. • Support broader efforts to ensure the value for money of Multiply funding. By sharing effective practice, the capability building offer will help to ensure that local areas are able to commission high quality learning that provides good value for money, effectively supporting adults to improve their skills, get into employment, move on in their careers, and/or progress to higher levels of training.
