Tender description
Business and Community Sector Matching Event - Wednesday 27th September Thrive Trafford and Trafford Council’s Inclusive Economy and Communities Team are working in partnership to host their first Trafford Business and Community Sector Match event on Wednesday 27th September at Hotel Football, Old Trafford at 9:30am to 12noon. The event aims to connect Trafford based and/or Trafford trading companies with local community groups, charities and social enterprises that can offer social value or corporate social responsibility opportunities mutually benefitting both sectors to meet local needs. The event will support local businesses to achieve their ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) goals whilst enabling the local Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise sector to thrive and flourish. Businesses can support community groups in a variety of ways, such as employee volunteering, skills sharing and development, long-term partnerships, investments and many more ways. The event will feature a marketplace area consisting of a range of community organisations, charities and social enterprises that work with different beneficiaries, all of which will have a wish list of volunteering and social value opportunities for businesses and their employees and supply chains to work with. Our mission is to create positive social impact across the local community, leaving a sustainable and lasting legacy to the Trafford Borough and Greater Manchester area. We believe that by working together with our partners, stakeholders and beneficiaries, we can achieve our vision of a more inclusive, resilient and prosperous society. As partners we are committed to working collaboratively across the sectors to deliver high-quality services and programmes that address the needs and aspirations of the people we serve, while also contributing to the environmental, social and economic well-being of our region. This event is part-funded by the UK government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. For more information about the event please contact caroline.lewis@thrivetrafford.org.uk or communities@trafford.gov.uk.
