Planned Roof Covering Replacement and Associated Works - Melbourne House

Tender description

Melbourne House, is located in the London Borough of Hillingdon, Yeading, UB4 9, and requires flat roof covering replacement, external decorations to the balcony panels, balustrade rails, handrails, and associated metal work. The balcony soffits will be painted, the balcony floor coverings will be treated and sealed. Internal communal areas will be painted, and the floor coverings replaced. The external envelope of the tower block will be protected by a full wraparound scaffold providing access to the flat roofs. The existing pigeon netting will be replaced. Existing plant room doors and frames at roof level will be replaced and adjusted to accommodate the increased insulation thickness, mechanical and electrical works will be carried out to the plant rooms on the flat roofs as detailed below. The edge barrier protection will be dismantled, adapted, and reinstated, the lift motor plant room will have bespoke fixed ladder access, gate and edge restraint installed as new. The existing lightning protection system where present on the flat roofs, including the lift plant room as before described will be removed, adapted, reinstated, replaced where required, and tested.
