Tender description
Merton’s Adult Social Care, (ASC), and Children, Lifelong Learning and Families, (CLLF) Commissioning Teams are delighted to invite you to attend a ‘Carers’ Services’ market engagement event. The event will give you an opportunity to hear how we intend to commission carers services for delivery from April 2024 under two separate Lots, to hear how you can bid to deliver one or both LOTs and to pose any questions to us. Lot 1 will include services that support adult carers (people over 18 caring for another adult) to access a range of interventions, carer assessments, support plans, information and advice to assist carers in their caring role. Lot 2 will include assessment and support services for Merton’s young carers (a person under 18 who provides or intends to provide care for another person). The event will be held on Wednesday 16th August 2023 at 10am via MS Teams. Please see links enclosed in the attachment provided. This invitation is open to all providers who are interested in understanding Merton’s intentions for the provision of carer services, within a new five-year contract scheduled to begin in April 2024. PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS NOT A CALL FOR COMPETITION. The Authority intends to initiate procurement for this provision in the coming months and would like to inform the market of our intentions and proposed approach.
