Tender description

Robots and Artificial Intelligence Collaboration (RAICo) is a new programme managed by UKAEA on behalf of a collaboration, including the National Decommissioning Authority (NDA), Sellafield and the University of Manchester. This programme includes a number of research themes seeking to understand how robotics and AI can support the future of nuclear decommissioning. The aim of this procurement is to appoint a supplier to assemble the parts to build a prototype glovebox is to de-risk robotic operations within the glovebox working with the Materials Research Facility based at UKAEA. UKAEA is seeking a to award a contract to a suitably experienced Supplier able to integrate the specified components provided in this specification into a glovebox in accordance with the design set out in the technical drawings. The work needs to be completed in a compressed timeframe of not more than 8 weeks from the date the final technical drawings are made available and include the required testing and sign off in accordance with the tender technical specification.
