YOUNG CARERS & SUPPORT FOR YOUNG PEOPLE WHO USE SUBSTANCES

We would like to invite you to attend the first market engagement event for the Young Carers and young people who use substances. When: Friday 18th August, 10:00 to 13:00. The room will be available until 14:00. Where: Astor Room, Plymouth Guildhall, Royal Parade, Plymouth, PL1 2BJ The first session will give an overview of the procurement process and the commissioning intentions for both services allowing time for discussion and questions. The room will be available until 14:00 for organisations wishing to stay behind after the event has ended to eat lunch and network. We are seeking to procure two services: 1. Specialist service for young people under 18 who use substances 2. An integrated support service for young carers who care for people with a range of needs including those who require care relating to their substance use The vision for the Young Person’s Specialist Substance Misuse Treatment and Young Carers Services are that they will be aligned to the developing Family Hubs vision and principles, ensuring that children and young people receive the right support as early as possible. The formal business case to proceed with procurement was granted approval from Plymouth City Councils Cabinet on Monday 12 June 2023 and has been published here.
