Strategy Review and Key Theme Development

Bord Bia is currently halfway through its three-year strategy “Nurturing a Thriving Future”. In advance of creating its next strategy, a review is to be undertaken of its current strategy’s alignment and relevance to inform future strategic themes. Bord Bia introduced a strategy implementation methodology in 2021. There are five key strategic pillars within the three year strategy titled We Must Dos (WMDs) with each WMD having three deliverables. Concurrently, our operating model was launched, highlighting the organisation’s industry focus. The operating model clearly outlines that the voice of our client and the voice of our customer should underpin all activity within the organisation. Core Strategic Questions (CSQs) were developed to structure the growth priorities within each market. These CSQs bring strategic focus to how we are operating with a sector within a market.
