Electronic Components and Associated Products; Test and Measurement Equipment; Oscilloscope; The Optical Communications Research Group (OCRG) at Northumbria University specialises in visible light communications, non-linear control systems and optical sensor research. The group is undertaking pioneering work on designing, building and testing a novel, high-speed (1.5 GHz), miniaturised, Free Space Optical Communications (FSOC) terminal for small satellites (CubeSats). As part of the continued development of our state-of-the-art optical communication research facilities, we are now seeking to procure a high-speed oscilloscope that can allow us to characterise the high-speed (1.5 GHz) laser communications channel for the CubeSat terminal development, as well as support all the other ongoing research projects. Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement.
