Provision of Didcot Garden Town Public Art Plan

Tender description

The Public Art Plan will establish the scope and specific opportunities for public art within the Didcot Garden Town area. It should acknowledge the area of influence of surrounding villages and science parks in Science Vale but the plan does not need to include opportunities in these areas. We would like the Public Art Plan that sets out the following objectives: • A town wide Public Art Plan that identifies key locations, themes and opportunities for visual arts interventions across Didcot Garden Town • Review of public areas and identify individual schemes for public art across the Garden Town area to support placemaking and therefore identify key locations for public art, partners and stakeholders for each project, including opportunities for funding. • Ensure the plan includes proposals for visual identity are compatible and complementary to other DGT projects such as the Wayfinding Strategy, Green Infrastructure Strategy, active travel plans, the Didcot Central Corridor Consultation and identifies key projects, locations, partners and funding and makes recommendations for commissioning. • Establish commissioning principals and guidelines including artistic briefs for key projects identified within the Delivery Plan • Publish the plan in full and ensure council and partners ‘buy-in’, adoption and ownership of the Plan Keywords: Consultancy, Art Plan
