This procurement is in respect of the Kirklees Health and Care Partnership 12 Lead ECG Remote Interpretation Service. Lot 1: The authority is seeking to secure the provision of a 12 Lead ECG Remote Interpretation Service, by commissioning this service, it is anticipated that the following outcomes will be achieved: • Improved clinical outcomes for service users • Improved service user experience of cardiac care • Delivery of a fast, comprehensive service that is cost effective • Freeing-up of clinician time in general practice • Surety that ECG readings are interpreted by subject experts, whereas GPs may not see ECGs regularly enough to confidently interpret the hundreds of possible variations • Avoidance of unnecessary referrals of service users to secondary care • Consistency of service provision across Kirklees. 1.3 The clinical objective of the service is to provide service users access to ECG testing, interpretation and reporting within a primary care setting to ensure prompt diagnosis and condition management.
