About adding context and requirements test Work done so far Initial Discovery activities have been undertaken in relation to files data stored in legacy infrastructure of the Trust. Within this contract, the Supplier will build on this body of artefacts and Discovery exercises. Which phase the project is in Alpha Existing team The Supplier will be required to work alongside MSE's Digital Services team and, as applicable, staff from other Suppliers currently supporting the Trust. Address where the work will be done MSEFT Corporate Services Hub, Comet Way, Southend-on-Sea, SS2 6GE There will be a requirement for the supplier to be on site in order to hold face-to-face meetings with members of the Trust and to work collaboratively with the team in order to deliver the proposed work. The Trust may consider suppliers hosting a team at their own premises. Any benefits offered by suppliers in this scenario should be reflected in the value for money section of the written proposal. Working arrangements The initial Statement of Work will be for a period of 12 months. Additional SoWs will be called off to modernise and develop further applications, as directed by the Trust. SoWs will define the outcomes required and will typically cover a project phase and last between 3 and 6 months. MSE requires a resourced managed team, for clarity, we mean the following: 1. That the team is provided as single package and managed by the supplier (i.e. High performing team). Suppliers need to be DBS checked, as they may handle personal identifiable information. 2. The allocation / recruitment of resources that make-up the team is the responsibility of the Supplier. 3. Task management and project outputs of the team will be specified by the MSE appointed Project Manager. Are you prepared to show your budget details?: No Confirm if you require a contracted out service or supply of resource Contracted out service: the off-payroll rules do not apply Summary of work Mid and South Essex (MSE) NHS Foundation Trust is seeking to engage with suppliers to procure the services of a technology company, with the expertise to: • Identify and use tools to conduct discovery activities to classify the data and enable data sanitization as per IG policies. • Where possible migrate shared teams' files data to SharePoint Online. • Migrate personal drives data to OneDrive for Business. • User engagement/training/onboarding to cloud services like SPO and ODfB. • Migrate the rest of the files data to Nutanix storage system. • Reduce the risk by ensuring all files data have been migrated from legacy on-premises infrastructure and decommission the same Where the supplied staff will work East of England Who the organisation using the products or services is Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust Why the work is being done The Trust’s Digital Services department is currently in the middle of a significant transformation programme across its entire estate with numerous technology and system project workstreams. • Large amount of files data (~45.5 TB) stored on legacy on-premises end of support infrastructure, causing lots of IT operations issues and security risks. • Data growing in uncontrolled way due to lack of visibility of the type/ownership of data and inability to apply coherently IG and other policies. • Files data are not easily accessible when working remotely/offsite and hindering collaboration and modern ways of working.
