Detection of Bush Cricket assemblages and the impacts of Agri-environment scheme The purpose of this contract is to extract new data on Bush Crickets from sound recordings collected by the British Trust for Ornithology (BTO) for a previous project examining the effects of local and landscape scale gradients in agri-environment on mobile organisms. The project will allow the BTO to extract data on bush crickets from the sound recordings and undertake analytical work to examine if effects of agri-environment interventions on bush crickets can be detected. These analyses will provide new evidence as to whether acoustic data can be used to detect impacts of agri-environment interventions on bush crickets and inform future approaches to the use of acoustic data for monitoring the effects of agri-environment interventions, as well as informing wider approaches to monitoring in Natural England (NE).
