Tender description

This document relates to ‘Security Services Provision’. The Service is for Evening/Night Time, Week-Ends and Public Holiday’s to ensure the Protection of Grounds and Buildings at the Bishopstown and Cork City Centre Campus. There will be other events when additional security will be required e.g Sports Days, Conferring Days etc when large numbers of people are visiting the campus. There may be a requirement for up to 10 guards at any one events. The Main Campus has a Building Footprint of some 70,000m² on 90 acres, which includes Playing Pitches and Viewing Stands The intention is to make the appointment for an initial period of two years with provision for a Maximum of two one year extensions depending on performance. Actual times on site will be agreed with the Buildings & Estates Office. The normal cover range being within; 22.00 - 04.00 Friday 20.00 – 04.00 Saturday, Sunday & Public Holidays The operational hours will be review each month and will be subject to adjustments especially between summer and winter times. CIT and the Institute of Technology, Tralee (‘ITT’) will merge to create the Munster Technological University (‘MTU’) in January 2021. The contract for this service will be with the MTU.
