Limerick City & County Council Multiparty Framework Agreement Environmental Consultancy Services, Water Quality Surveys

Limerick City and County Council acting as a purchasing body is setting up a multiparty Framework Agreement for the provision of Environmental Consultancy Services for Water Quality Surveys ("the Framework Agreement") in relation to the development of Major National Road Schemes (Capital Cost >€20m) in which the Council is involved within the City and County of Limerick. It is the intention that the Contracting Authority will procure Call-off Contracts from the Framework required to facilitate the development of Major National Roads Schemes in the City and County of Limerick. If the Contracting Authority decides to procure work under this Framework, it may do so, at its discretion, by any of the methods described in Framework Rules 3.3, 3.4 or 3.5. It is anticipated that Framework Rule 3.4 will be used only in exceptional circumstances. The scope of the Water Quality Survey Contracts may include part or all of the following elements, with the specific requirements being provided within each Call-Off Contract: Developing and conducting frequent sampling regimes (on a monthly to quarterly basis) as part of long term (6+ months) surface water and groundwater monitoring programmes to establish baseline conditions and trends prior to construction; Selection of suitable sample locations and suitable suites of parameters to be sampled considering the expected pressures associated with the proposed development; Development of Risk Assessments and Method Statements; Reporting on results and trends throughout the monitoring programme: cooperation with the Project Supervisor Construction Stage (PSCS).
