DAERA - AFBI - Supply, Delivery and Maintenance of a Photoacoustic Analyser. The Agri-Food and Biosciences Institute (AFBI) is an arms-length body of the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA). It is a multi-disciplinary scientific organisation involved in high technology research and development, as well as diagnostic and analytical testing for DAERA, other Government departments, public bodies and the agri-food industry both locally and globally. Agri-Environment Branch (AEB) is a research team within Environment and Marine Science Division (EMSD) of AFBI. AEB conducts monitoring, recording and verification of the research to reduce the environmental problems such as air and water pollution, and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. AEB require a contract for the Supply, Delivery and Maintenance of a Photoacoustic Analyser to couple with an existing Advanced Energy’s Innova 1409 Multipoint Samplers with 24 channels, to generate high-resolution and high-frequency NH3 emissions data from the slurry storage facility. The data generated from the analyser will help to identify novel NH3 and GHG mitigation techniques which could be adopted within NI livestock manure management systems.
