Tender description

The project is to provide a new energy-efficient, two storey library building replacing the existing infill library building recently demolished and associated site works to existing parking provision. The new building will require piling and will facilitate independent level access from the front street and ramped/stair access from the rear, ensuring compliance with Health and Safety, CPD Fire Officers requirements and achieves BREEAM ‘Excellent’ status. Mechanical works will include installation of heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems. Electrical works will include the general fit out of new building, installation of an intruder alarm, fire alarm, CCTV, public address, passenger lift, access control etc. Building Energy Management Controls and associated wiring will also be included. External works will include local landscaping works and alterations to the existing rear carpark and making good the front street paving.
