Tender description

The requirement for cleaning is for the daily cleaning of St Christopher’s EYFS and Sunflowers nursery and the grounds maintenance of the outside areas. Personnel to be deployed - 2 cleaning staff, 3 hours per day (Mon – Fri) and 1 grounds maintainer, 1 hour per day (Mon – Fri). It is imperative that all cleaning and grounds maintenance tasks are undertaken outside of business hours (i.e. 17:00 during full working days and 14:00 during the 8-week summer hours period spanning across July and August). Cleaning personnel must be satisfactorily security vetted (this is arranged via EYFS) in order to gain access into the site. Cleaning materials will be supplied by the cleaning contractor and will be stored in the COSHH cupboard provided by the client, in accordance with SHEF regulations. All equipment will be provided by the contractor. All staff training is to be provided by the cleaning contractor. Failure to provide an adequate cleaning service will result in the closure of the EYFS unit and Sunflowers nursery, leaving all attending MoD entitled children with no access to their educational facilities. The cleaning contract will be managed by St Christopher’s EYFS School Business Manager and EYFS Leader.
