Tender description

The Department of Levelling Up, Housing and Communities (DLUHC) second round of the Local Authority Housing Fund (LAHF) provides an opportunity to rehouse those on the Afghan resettlement schemes currently in bridging accommodation through the acquisition of properties. Cheshire East Council has submitted a validation form indicating that we propose to work with local Registered Housing Providers to secure 8 homes for Afghan families currently residing in bridging hotels. We are looking to work with up to 4 Registered Housing Providers to secure no8 - 3, 4 or 5 bedroomed properties located within Cheshire East before 29th March 2024. The properties will be made available to Afghan families at an affordable rent level and there will be a requirement for the Registered Housing Providers to secure the borrowing required to fund the remaining 60% acquisition costs.
