The City of London Police and associated organisations (“the City”) have a number of strategic technology workstreams and transformation programmes required as part of its Future Police Estate Portfolio, including a new force HQ at Salisbury Square Development – more details can be found here: Salisbury Square | Development (salisburysquaredevelopment.co.uk). As part of the future planning for a modern, high performance and hyperconnected organisation, the City will conduct a Soft Market Engagement which will offer the City the opportunity to better understand the following: High Level Network Solutions • LAN • WAN • WLAN / WiFi • SD-WAN • SASE • VPN • Mobile networks - 3/4/5g etc • Satellite Networking • Telephony • Airwave • IoT Network Hardware, Software and Appliances • Next Gen Firewalls • SD-WAN solutions • SASE solutions • Network security solutions • Core LAN network switching & routing • Ruggedised solutions (for example in vehicle & streetside cabinet solutions) • Teams Telephony Solutions including PSTN calling and telephone number range porting and hosting • Teams AV Solutions for In Room hybrid teleconferencing The schedule of site go-live will align to a wider programme of work but will require vendors to intelligently plan delivery against a complex accommodation, technology refresh and building construction programme of an operational police force. The transition period will need to include an interoperable set of solutions that can exist and integrate to the “as-is” landscape during a decommission and migration phase. This SMT is looking to seek guidance and capability from the market only – please refer to section 2 for scope of the engagement.
