DN678818 Synthesis of Eurovision 2023 Impact Evaluations

Tender description

The UoL has unique assets for evaluating Eurovision impacts, including the team who helped lead the Events Research Programme with LCC, which supported Liverpool’s Eurovision bid, following prior successful work in world-leading mass testing evaluation. Professor Iain Buchan is a leading authority on critical public health thinking including around research and evaluation. Professor Buchan led on the Events Research Programme using methods that will be applied to Eurovision. There is no other academic partner with this combination of assets and alignment to Eurovision 2023 and academic evaluation in Liverpool City Region. The time of Professors Iain Buchan, Rhiannon Corcoran, Kay O’Halloran, and Sue Jarvis is needed to review reports and synthesise the salient points in a policy brief, and the work will draw upon the policy briefing experience of the Heseltine Institute and the Institute of Population Health at UoL. The aim is to synthesise the interim findings of six different studies of Eurovision 2023 into one coherent policy report before the end of 2023 and to encourage publication of linked papers.
