Delivery of a Welsh Medium Childcare Service (2 to 10 years old) at Ysgol Ifor Hael Nursery, Newpo

Tender description

Newport City Council is looking for a suitably experienced provider to deliver a Welsh Medium childcare service at Ysgol Ifor Hael Nursery, Bettws, Newport, for children aged from 2 to 10 years old. This may be through the provision of Flying Start spaces, Childcare Offer for Wales, Private Childcare, or a combination of all three. The Council will provide the premise via a lease agreement arranged by the Authority’s property management company Newport Norse. The premise may not be fully furnished with equipment or supplies required to deliver the service, and therefore it would be incumbent on the provider to ensure these items are in place for registration with the Childcare Inspectorate Wales (CIW). Equipment grants may be available where a premise isn’t furnished. The Council expects this provision to be available in Autumn term 2023 after registration with CIW has been given. This notice asks for expressions of interest to provide this service and those who are, are asked to read the Agreement document attached, completing the relevant areas and forwarding supporting documents no later the 12:00 hours on 10th August 2023 to procure@newport.gov.uk. Providers who have expressed interest will then be asked to attend a meeting with the Early Years Team to discuss the requirement further, dates to be arranged, and are asked to bring a business plan.
