ATU Heating Plant Upgrade 2023

Tender description

The Contracting Authority Atlantic Technological University wishes to award a contract for Heating Plant Upgrade at ATU Galway City Campus under the open procedure. Works comprise of the replacement of the main boiler serving the 1972 and 1976 Buildings. The main elements of work involve strip out and removal of the existing Boiler located in a basement boiler house. Replacement with new prefabricated plantroom and boilers to be located above ground adjacent to boiler house. Removal and replacement of other plant associated with the boilers e.g. pressurisation units, BMS panels etc. as well as the modification of pipe work and flues etc to facilitate tie in from old system to new system. Electrical works associated with removal of old system and installation of new systems. Builders work associated with forming plinths and builders work openings to facilitate works as well as the provision of access and lifting equipment where required.
