Aberystwyth University Framework - Supply of Farms Feed, Fertiliser, Crops & Sundries

Tender description

Aberystwyth University wishes to establish an internal Framework for the supply of Feed, Fertiliser, Crops & Sundries. The University farms based at Gogerddan (sheep and beef farm), Morfa Mawr (arable production), Trawsgoed (dairy farm) and Pwllpeiran (upland) extend to over 800 ha in total, and range from 0-600 meters above sea level. Between them, these four sites exploit the geography of West Wales to provide a spectrum of environmental challenges that are broadly representative of the growing conditions of approximately 80% of UK grasslands. Our enterprises include commercial and pedigree sheep flocks, a robotically milked dairy herd, dairy heifer replacement unit, beef fattening unit, and arable production focused on homegrown feeds including barley, wheat, oats and lupins. The intention in establishing this Framework is to provide the University with access to suppliers in the identified areas, and to achieve this required outcome we will invite bids from organisations on singular or multiple Lots depending on the specialisms offered. Lot 1: Aberystwyth University Farms - Lot 1 - Feed Aberystwyth University wishes to procure a designated supplier for the supply of Animal feed, the estimated annual spend of the goods found within this Lot is currently 477k. Lot 2: Aberystwyth University Farms - Lot 2 - Fertiliser Aberystwyth University wishes to procure a designated supplier for the supply of Fertiliser, the estimated annual spend of the goods found within this Lot is currently 164k. Lot 3: Aberystwyth University Farms - Lot 3 - Crops Aberystwyth University wishes to procure a designated supplier for the supply of Crops, the estimated annual spend of the goods found within this Lot is currently 83k. Lot 4: Aberystwyth University Farms - Lot 4 - Farm Sundries Aberystwyth University wishes to procure a designated supplier for the supply of Farm Sundries, the estimated annual spend of the goods found within this Lot is currently 40k. Lot 5: Aberystwyth University Farms - Lot 5 - Seed Aberystwyth University wishes to procure a designated supplier for the supply of Seed, the estimated annual spend of the goods found within this Lot is currently 33k.
