GMCA secured £7m in the latest round of National Skills Fund funding to deliver Skills Bootcamps across a range of industries in Greater Manchester over the next year. In June 2023, GMCA commissioned £5.8m to 11 providers who are now delivering skills bootcamps across a range of different sectors. GMCA are now looking to procure the remaining £1.2m for targeted provision in the following areas; Security & Events, Residential Childcare and Advanced Manufacturing. We will be holding two market information sessions: Developing Industry Led Training in Children’s Residential Care – 17th July We are inviting specialist training providers and employers within the Residential childcare workforce. Information that will be covered will include what GMCA are looking to procure; how your organisation can apply; specification overview as well as providing guidelines on the procurement process. This session will also be an opportunity to meet and network key stakeholders in the sector to better understand the workforce challenges. However, organisations not registered on the Flexible Procurement System can still be part of a supply chain with a lead provider and are encouraged to attend as there will be a facilitated networking session as part of the event, to stimulate collaboration and partnership/supply chain opportunities.
