NEXT GENERATION COMMUNICATION NETWORK (NGCN) REQUEST FOR INFORMATION

Request For Information 1. The NGCN programme held an Industry Day on 30th May 2023. Following on from the day, this Request for Information (RFI) has been developed to help validate some of our assumptions, by inviting Suppliers to provide responses to questions detailed within the RFI, leveraging Industry's experience of delivering Network Implementation and Transformations 2. Industry is invited to provide responses to questions they have experience in. There is no requirement to answer any or all the questions. 3. To inform your responses, the following attributes have been provided on the legacy network: - 600 'complex sites' form part of the legacy network. examples are RAF bases. - There are 400 'Business as Usual' sites that are mainly providing services for the operation of Ministry of Defence business, such as recruitment centres. Disclaimer 4. The responses to this RFI will not be used to down select third parties, and all future formal procurement procedure will be conducted without bias to this RFI. 5. This RFI is not a commitment to launch a formal procurement procedure; this shall be done by formal Contract Notice/ Defence Pre-Qualification Questionnaire (DPQQ) at a later stage. 6. The Authority is aware that the information requested within this document, once submitted, will be commercially sensitive, and as such will be treated appropriately. Responding to the RFI 7. Suppliers are invited to populate this document in response to the RFI. Your response should be limited to twenty (20) sides of A4, and returned by 12:00 (BST) on 28th July 2023 to UKStratComDD-CM-NGCN-Mailbox@mod.gov.uk 8. Supplier responses should include, but not be limited to: a. Company summary b. Key areas of capability/specialty c. Relevant recent experience d. Responses to the Questions asked within the RFI document e.
