Camden Integrated Health and Social Care Day Opportunities Service

Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust and Camden Council are developing an innovative new integrated health and social care day opportunities service for people with mental health support needs. The new service will aim to deliver and coordinate key partners to provide a holistic programme of day opportunities that offers bespoke and flexible support to people with a range of mental health support needs. Needs will range from the provision of shorter-term, more intense support with clinical oversight for acute needs, to lighter touch and longer-term support offers for people who have more enduring mental health issues. The successful provider will work together with wider partners to deliver and coordinate a multi-disciplinary service that will offer a blended approach of clinical, therapeutic, community, and peer support that is able to flex and adapt as an individual’s support needs change throughout their often non-linear journey of recovery. The service is aiming to commence on 1st April 2024 To help inform the development of the new model, a Market Engagement Event has been arranged to invite interested providers to find out more information and provide insight and feedback on the proposed service model. We are keen to hear providers’ thoughts and insights about the proposed model and welcome the opportunity for questions and comments. The event will also give potential providers an opportunity to meet the commissioners and find out more about the proposed procurement arrangements. The agenda and accompanying presentation on the service will be circulated to suppliers that have registered three days before the Market Engagement Event. All information will be made available after the event and as part of the procurement documentation, where appropriate.
