This contract is issued by direct award to PA Media for the provision of access to PA's newsire. PA Media is the sole supplier of access to this newswire, which uploads breaking news stories throughout the day to all national and regional news outlets (paper, broadcast and online). The copy produced is uploaded automatically to hundreds of titles - and can be searched by theme. No other competitors provide an equivalent service. There is therefore an absence of competition for technical reasons. The Contract will commence on 1st June 2023 and, unless terminated in accordance with the provisions in the contract, will last until 31st May 2028.
