Structural Engineers Scope  Project planning and feasibility studies.  Assist Client team to establish the full structural brief for the project. Geotechnical/Geological investigations  Review site investigations and reports then advise on findings.  i.e. E3P report, Dudley’s original condition report.  Environmental studies and environmental impact assessments and reporting.  Review to hand information and advice on any necessary additional investigation works. Sustainability studies  Complete flooding analysis from information to hand. Contributions to H&S  Preliminary structural scheme design/built from studies and design of new structures.  Analysis and Recommendations for Site Stability Piling/Slab design:  Full design for competitive tender  Preparations of Performance Schedules to seek competitive designs from specialist contractors.  Provide UDL calculations on completion of designed repairs. Ground improvement/Structural design: Provide fully detailed designs for competitive tenders on:  Ground improvement works.  Drainage, Roads etc  Retaining Walls  Dividing masonry walls. Including wind posts and supporting/bracing details  Foundation design  Below ground drainage  Frame alterations, checks and balances.  Slab repairs/replacement develop scheme to provide level slabs internally.  Highways works including private and Public Highways 278 works. Structural detailing:  Reinforced concrete members and bending schedules. (RC Detailing)  Design checking responsibility of secondary structures such as facades, advice on requirements/needs of specialist equipment on installation/maintenance. Management Contributions to H&S Plan/O&M Files  Preparation of performance requirements to allow competitive designs from specialists and/or CDP elements.  Risk Analysis and Risk Management Contributions to H&S Plan  Site inspections for structural elements on agreed stages and completion.  Review of contractor’s submissions e.g.  Fabrication drawings  CDP compatibility  Review and/or preparation of as-built drawings related to structural elements.
