Soft Market Engagement - Household Waste Recycling Centre Services

Tender description

The Council currently has 6 Household Waste Recycling Centres, which are currently managed by contractors, with all contracts expiring 31 March 2025. The six recycling centres receive more than half million 'visits' by residents each year with an estimated total tonnage throughput by 2025 of 36,000 tonnes. We would like, at this stage prior to commencing formal procurement, to seek input from the market as to what the appetite is for undertaking this service and to allow an opportunity to discuss options for the delivery of future provision. Some of the issues we are seeking input on include contract length, reuse options, options to improve infrastructure, and options to improve the service.
