Provision of Services for Establishment of a Single Party Framework for Bridge Rehabilitation Consultancy Services

Tender description

This is a request for a single operator framework for consultancy services for bridge maintenance/refurbishment works in Galway City. The scope of works varies from bridge to bridge, however, works such as substructure strengthening, deck strengthening, steel repairs, protective coating for structural steel, concrete repair and corrosion protection, masonry repairs and repointing (including arches and barrel protection) may be required. The Consultant will be appointed to the role of Project Supervisor Design Process (PSDP). The Consultant is required to undertake detailed site inspections of each structure and shall undertake the Structural Assessment of road structures in accordance with AM-STR-06056 TII Publications Stage 1 Structural Assessment of Road Structures. The Consultant is required to prepare preliminary design drawings and options reports for rehabilitation works to each structure. Detailed design package, including drawings and reports, shall be delivered to the Client for issue to GCC’s maintenance contractor. The Consultant will be required to provide technical assistance to the Client for the duration of the construction period of the works.
