The successful supplier will be joining mid-programme, and will be helped to get up to speed and accelerate existing work or begin new streams of work as needed. Which phase the project is in Not applicable Existing team People from the successful supplier will be working with 3 types of team: Content design team for: - pairing on content development and critiques - content standards - sharing of work - community development Product and delivery teams on : - multidisciplinary working within major programmes Service experts on: - details of services, understanding service needs - redesign of specialist content - understanding service design Address where the work will be done Mainly remote/flexible, with a small amount of time (eg for user research, workshops) at: Royal Greenwich Council The Woolwich Centre Wellington Street London SE18 6HQ Working arrangements We want to pair with people from the successful supplier, and for you to work seamlessly within and with our existing teams. We're happy for people to work mainly remotely. We'd like people to come in for events which benefit from face to face contact, like user research or workshops. This will vary in time and by the type of work being done, but might be once every 1-2 weeks. Expenses should be billed monthly in arrears. We don't currently have a large enough content design team to do everything we need to, and are looking for content designers to help us deliver everything we need to. The programme include, but might not be limited to: - the redesign and replatforming of our corporate website - the redesign and replatforming of our corporate intranet and other internal websites - a major change programme in our Housing and Safer Communities directorate, including the redesign of our housing repairs services and building new tools to help people find a home - the redesign of our target operating model for adult social care, embedding strength-based practice and introducing digital care. We think we'll need 2-4 content designers at different levels of seniority at any one time, depending on needs in different programmes. We think the work will last 12-18 months. We'd like to work flexibly with the successful supplier, finding the right people at the right level for each programme of work. Most of the work will be hands-on content design, with the potential of an amount of advisory work about complex information architectures and content design standards. People who join us can expect to work in a warm, inclusive and welcoming team. They'll be working with our existing content designers and also within multidisciplinary product and delivery teams, as well as with service experts from across the council. Where the supplied staff will work London Why the work is being done Royal Greenwich Council is undertaking several parallel programmes of change work as we delivery our digital strategy and redesign our services to improve our resident experience and become more efficient. While we have a existing content design team, the current volume of work exceeds our capacity. The business problem you need to solve The problem to be solved varies across the programmes of work.
