REQUEST FOR QUOTATION FOR DETACHED YOUTH WORK AND PRIMARY SCHOOL OUTREACH PROGRAMME IN SUPPORT OF SERIOUS VIOLENCE DUTY

Tender description

Cambridgeshire County Council Communities Service have been funded by the Office of Police and Crime Commissioner (OPCC). This is part of the shared duty and wish to commission a specialist youth work organisation to engage at pace with identified groups of young people, aged 10 to 15, across select areas in Cambridgeshire which have been identified as having a serious violence risk. It may also include localities with higher rates of anti-social behaviour (ASB) that predispose young people to serious violence. This work will deliver a series of detached youth work initiatives across at least three local areas, with select groups of young people in areas that have been identified as problematic within Cambridgeshire and are informed by local knowledge and evidence. Educating young people about the risks of serious violence and providing information about support services that are available to them. In addition to the Detached Youth Work the provider will design and deliver an educational youth work programme for primary schools that can prevent participation in risk taking behaviours that might lead to serious youth violence.
