Tender description
The Marine Engineering Division (MED) of the Department of Agriculture Food and the Marine (DAFM) require the services of a Marine Civil Engineering Consultancy to deliver the Appraisal Stage and Stage 1 services for an extension to the Southern Quay at Killybegs Fishery Harbour Centre. The extension shall be for 100m plus of deep-water quay to -12mCD. The objective of this project is to ensure the harbour can cater for the increasing numbers of vessels, increasing lengths of vessels, in particular foreign vessels using the harbour, to future proof the harbour for expansions in the fish/fishmeal sector and to facilitate the berthing of reefers up to 150m length during the peak fishing season. The optimum length and configuration of the extension shall be determined during this commission. Specialist services including a Financial Services Specialist, Mathematical Modeller and Quantity Surveyor or equivalent are required as either in-house or external specialists.
