Live-in care aims to enable individuals to remain in the familiar surroundings of their homes. It is a bespoke care solution, promoting customer independence and allowing individuals to remain in control of their lifestyle. Live-in care is where a care worker lives in an individual’s home, helping the customer to meet their eligible needs. The care worker is available throughout the day and occasionally at night. The care packages for live-in care are comprehensive and will cover a wide range of support, from companionship to providing end of life care, as well as packages of care commissioned for more than a single individual. Live-in care will be commissioned in Wiltshire via the Homecare Flexible Framework, it is a managed service which provides home-based CQC registered care and support to individuals and their carers. Transforming home care is a long-term objective which will require us to listen to customers, carers and communities and engage with the market. Wiltshire Council is committed to work closely with the market to develop innovative ideas and approaches. Wiltshire Council will be holding a provider consultation event for this project on 13/07/2023: 09:30 – 11:00am via Microsoft teams. This session will involve a short presentation regarding the project, indicative tender timelines and there will also be opportunity for providers to ask questions.
