Luton Council is initially looking to gather information, from qualified and interested parties, to aid a future competitive bid scenario for its Lamppost Banner Advertising License. Summary of scope of related License activity: Luton Council is proposing to award a 5 year contract with the option, at the sole discretion of the council to extend this for a further period of 2 years. The tender includes the supply of all services in connection with the management and delivery of the lamppost banner advertising in the borough. Luton Council currently has a portfolio of 85 lamppost banners (Appendix A) that benefit from planning consent but there is further potential for planning applications to be submitted in new areas of development in consultation with the council and in the retail areas in a number of wards. Appendix B, highlights a number of potential sites identified by the Council. The lampposts are currently used for commercial, event, charitable and key campaigns for Luton Council.
