Domiciliary care services for Extra Care Settings in Swansea

Swansea Council is hosting a market engagement event for domiciliary care agencies interested in delivering services from two extra care projects. Date/time: 21st July 2023 at 10:00 – 11:45am LOCATION: Virtual (Microsoft Teams) About the event:- Swansea Council has two contracts for the delivery of domiciliary care services in two housing projects (details below). Age designated housing (over 55 years) with the presence of an on-site domiciliary care service are often referred to as an ‘extra care service’ or ‘housing with care’. The contracts for the domiciliary care component in both projects are coming to an end shortly. The Council would therefore like to invite existing and potential providers of domiciliary care to take part in our virtual market engagement event. The Council is seeking to award a contract to a domiciliary care provider for each of the following housing projects: - Llys-y-Werin, Brynawel Road, Gorseinon, Swansea, SA4 4UA - Hazel Court, Sketty Park, Swansea, SA2 8BP The purpose of this event will be: - To share information the Council has collated on extra care that has shaped its plans. - To outline our potential commissioning model - Provide information on the next steps and timescales Swansea Council would like to invite providers of domiciliary care with relevant experience to register for the market engagement event. We anticipate publishing the tender opportunity on eTenderWales (https://etenderwales.bravosolution.co.uk/web/login.shtml) in August / September 2023, however these timescales may be subject to change.
