Tender description

University of the West of Scotland (UWS) wishes to seek competitive tenders for all services associated with Waste Management Services. The contract shall include the following mandatory waste streams: - General Waste, Recyclates & Recoverables - Mandatory - Confidential Waste - Mandatory Tenderers are also encouraged to submit proposals for the following “Optional” waste streams: - Chemical Substances & Materials - Clinical & Biological Materials - WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) & Associated Materials - Innovative Food Waste - Innovative Redundant IT & Electronics Solutions Waste streams marked as “Optional” will only be included in the contract if: - the Contractor has included a proposed solution for any of the “Optional“ waste streams in their tender submission - the proposal is acceptable to UWS and offers value for money. Contractors are encouraged to sub-contract with SME’s, third sector companies and local companies to submit proposal for “Optional” waste streams. The Contractor shall provide a service compliant with current legislation for waste management services across the following locations (including student residences): - Ayr Campus - Paisley Campus University of the West of Scotland (UWS) wishes to seek competitive tenders for all services associated with Waste Management Services.
