Sustainable energy infrastructure - Consultancy

Please note that this notice follows on from previous notice published; 2023/S 000-003189 The University of Derby are looking for suitable providers for the delivery of sustainable energy infrastructure across a number of sites in the Derbyshire region. As a first step in this process, the authority wishes to appoint a consultant to provide industry-specific expertise on key commercial, financial and legal considerations throughout the process to ensure optimum value for money and reduction in carbon emissions are delivered through renewable energy generation. The requirement is to work as part of the University of Derby team to appoint and contract with a delivery partner (or partners) for the provision sustainable energy infrastructure. It is envisaged that the consultancy work will include but is not limited to: Pre-Market engagement with potential providers Engagement with district network operators (DNO's) Review of current estate and its energy usage Options appraisal of suitable options of where and how sustainable energy can be generated /delivered on site Development and review of strategy Development and review of tender documents Development of appropriate content for contractual agreements (with legal support provided by the University) Identifying and mitigating risk management Upskilling and knowledge transfer for University of Derby stakeholders Information on the proposed available sites, their current usage alongside our current energy usage will be made available as part of pre-tender engagement. It is envisaged that this engagement will take place throughout June 2023 with a view to tendering openly or via framework in late June/ early July 2023.
