Operation and Management of Queen Elizabeth Leisure Centre, Wimborne, Dorset

Tender description

Queen Elizabeth School in Wimborne has leisure facilities utilised by the local community. The QELC is currently operated through a community use agreement by Dorset Council, who will be withdrawing from the operation at the end of March 2024. The Trust is now seeking to enter into a partnership to operate the Queen Elizabeth Leisure Centre (QELC), which is located at the Queen Elizabeth School, from 1 April 2024. The current facilities include 25 metre, 4 lane pool Sports Hall Squash Court Fitness Suite and Studios Secondary Hall Artificial Grass Pitch Tennis Courts and Athletics Facilities The Trust is inviting tenders from prospective partners to enter into a management contract or other arrangements to invest in, operate and maintain the facility. Lot 1: Operation of the sports facilities 10 Year Contract Term with potential to extend for 5 years Full Repair and Renewal responsibilities, but with condition survey works undertaken as indicated in ITT TUPE will apply and existing staff at the School will transfer to the new operator (including Pension requirements).
