MARKET ENGAGEMENT: Waste Collection, Treatment & Disposal Services - South Gloucestershire Council

Tender description

This Notice is to inform Waste Service Operators that South Gloucestershire Council (the Council) will be holding a market engagement day on Monday 26 June 2023. The Council's current contract for waste collection and disposal services expires July 2025 and the Council therefore wishes to engage with the market before initiating the process of procuring a replacement contract with a suitably qualified Waste Service Operator. The Council requires collection/disposal waste services for up to c.100,000 tonnes per annum of municipal and other wastes within the Council’s administrative area, including the treatment and disposal of waste, including refuse (household), recycling, food, and garden (green) waste. The market engagement day on Monday 26 June 2023, will provide Waste Service Operators with more information about the Council's requirements and details of the forthcoming procurement exercise. It will comprise a virtual presentation by the Council and then individual operator short meetings to answer questions and glean views on the Council's plans. If interested, please respond via this portal no later than 12:00 noon on 16 June 2023 (late submissions will not be accepted) confirming your preferred option: Option 1) Attend the virtual presentation only (9-10 am) on 26 June 2023; or Option 2) Attend the virtual presentation and also have a discussion slot of 45 minutes, between 10am - 6 pm on the same day.
